Ministerial Aide Committee

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (1 Peter 4:10)

The Ministerial Aide Committee was formed in the long tradition of the Pastor’s Aid ministries of many African-American Baptist churches. The Ministerial Aide Committee of Myrtle Baptist Church lovingly serves our pastor through prayers, financial support and encouraging words and deeds. Its mission is to edify the shepherd, which God has placed over this Myrtle Baptist Church family. The mission of this ministry is to lift the pastor up in prayer, show sympathy, let him know we realize the burden he carries and lighten it as much as possible. Support the pastor, and by teaching other to reframe from gossip, and not criticize the minister. The Ministerial Aide Committee is a service ministry that provides direct personal support to the Pastor. This ministry, working with and through the congregation and lay members of the church, meets the needs of the Pastor with prayer and personal, physical and financial support and/or encouragement. We support him by attending other churches when he is the visiting preacher, plan and make his visiting pastors comfortable by providing coffee, soda and snacks. The vision of this ministry are simply to ensure that our congregation sees our Pastor as well maintained, cared for, and always ready when administering and/or delivering the Word of God. Our vision is also to assist the Pastor in every way possible to ensure that his vision for our church becomes reality to serve our pastor and his family with the love of God, to ensure their needs are met at all times, and to be good examples to all by allowing our light to shine at all times.
