Join us this afternoon at 5:00pm for the Opening Consecration Week Service. This powerful service will begin our week of corporate prayer and fasting. This will be a lay-led service in which we will hear six sermonettes on various themes that will provide a spiritual center for the new season that we are entering in 2016. You don’t want to miss this experience of prayer, praise and purposeful reflection on the glory of our God!

The Daughters of Myrtle 95th Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm at the Sheraton Needham Hotel. Tickets are $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for children under 12 and can be purchased after church in the Agape Room. Special ticket sales for the Myrtle church family begin today, January 17, 2016, immediately following the morning service and continue through Sunday, January 31, 2016. Additionally, a special payment plan is available to you: a $25.00 non-refundable deposit per ticket due with reservation; balance payment due by February 1, 2016.

The first Pastor’s Community Tea on Literature and Theology will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 6:30pm. In addition to time for fellowship, this tea will introduce the #MyrtleSyllabus in fuller detail. If you would like to attend the tea, please RSVP to the church office no later than Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 12:00pm so that refreshments can be planned accordingly.

The Men’s Fellowship will be meeting on Saturday January 30 at 8:00 am in the Ford Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions, comments or suggested agenda items, please contact either Gregory Brown or Marcus Evans.

Inclement Weather Notifications

During inclement weather, the church will post, after 7:00 AM, any information regarding changes to regularly scheduled activities (worship services, Sunday School or other events) on two stations; 7NEWS – Channel 7 (NBC) and on Channel 56 (CW). You can also check the church’s status on, under the “Closings” link. To check the current status by phone, please call the church office at (617) 332-5870, and we will have information regarding any change of the service schedule noted in the greeting message. As always, please make sure that it is safe travel in your area when deciding to attend any service or event at the church.
