An Update Regarding Our Use Of The Zoom Online Meeting Platform

As many of you know, we are utilizing the Zoom platform for Adult Sunday School, midweek Theology Class, and other periodically scheduled church activities. Recently, Zoom has turned on passwords and waiting rooms for meetings by users to help prevent “Zoombombing,” or the recent trend of people disrupting Zoom meetings uninvited and sharing shocking or even inappropriate content.

The new defaults will add a password to the process of joining a meeting. Please be sure to check your weekly emails for the respective Zoom passwords for the activities you are attending. We will try to keep them as consistent as the platform allows. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this unplanned change causes to our members and friends, but we thank you for patience and flexibility and look forward to continuing to connect with you virtually. This change will not impact our Sunday morning worship services streamed via Facebook and YouTube.
